What’s a Little Paint Between Friends

I am doing something awesome and time consuming this weekend.  I am really letting my creative side out in full force and the effects will hopefully be good.  I have been planning, doing some research and finally coming to grips that I let things get way out of control.

This Saturday I am going to conquer my office/music room/library.  It is too cluttered, full of to many random mix match furniture.  I want it to feel like a grown up lives there and not someone who still goes to college or just got married trying to combine everything.

With this new motivation to become more of an adult, I have gone out and bought little things to improve the room.  I got baskets, paint, shelving, and a really inexpensive bookshelf.  I can’t WAIT to start on it.

And don’t worry, there will be before and after pictures taken and posted for your wonderful viewing pleasure.

The Hubby and I have decided that we will take one room a weekend (when it is free) and redo each room to the way we really want it.  The living room will take more time, because it needs an overhaul big time.  All new furniture for my very tiny living space.  Right now you can only fit 3 people in there.  The rest have to be in the kitchen.  (I’ll post a pic).

The scary part is, that I LOVE to paint and decorate.  It doesn’t take much for the room to look completely different.   Just a few bucks and it looks like a whole new room.

I figure the redo will cost about $100 because we have the basics, just had no motivation to actually do it.

So wish me luck!!

I am SO excited for tomorrow’s writing prompt. I have had it scheduled since Monday.  It is that great…trust me. ;)

Make sure you take before and after pictures. I always do that to remind myself how shitty things used to look.

can’t wait to see everything! we’re still in the process of buying furniture for our new apartment and have been working with whatever freebies we can find until we can afford new things. it’s definitely a process, but it’s fun to make your living space just how you want it!
